Summary: Excellent sophomore album
Comment: James Blunt came out of seemingly nowhere with "Back To Bedlam" and there were many doubters who said he couldn't pull it off for a second album.

Thankfully they're wrong.

"All The Lost Souls" captures life in the spotlight, life on the road and life in general with an almost Cat Stevens/1970s flair.

The first single "1973" sets the era and "Same Mistake" and "Carry You Home" set the hook. James opens his heart and soul to his listeners, of you can get to the end of the album's "I Can't Hear The Music" and not be moved by the songs then you may want to check your pulse because it's quite possible you are dead, or at least dead inside.

As an aside if you get a chance to see James Blunt live you will get a whole new appreciation for his music, the emotion you hear on "All The Lost Souls" and his previous CD "Back To Bedlam" is magnified ten fold when he performs.
