Customer Rating: Summary: Udderly Amazing! Comment: K. Carlucci is absolutely right. It's a dirty rotten shame that the ones with real talent are pushed aside in favor of all this new "city" country music because they don't "rock out" or appeal to a more, less country, fan base.I can't imagine listening to this new stuff in the country. Although this is a "cover" album, he does all the original perfomers proud, as George Jones stated. His cover of the late great Keith Whitley's "Miami, My Amy" absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the breathtaking performance of Conway Twitty's "Fifteen Years Ago" and Buck Owens' "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail". Daryle and Rhonda Vincent's take on George and Tammy's "We're Gonna Hold On" simply gives me chills. If you want to hear what REAL country music is...LISTEN TO THIS!
Customer Rating: Summary: Nothing New Comment: Daryle's a good singer, but he brings nothing new to these country covers. They sound like the original versions, only a little bit blander.
Customer Rating: Summary: Daryle Singletary " straight from the heart " Comment: Well what can you say about the lastest offering from Daryle Singletary apart from the fact it is a brilliant CD, he has a singing voice that comes across as a cross between George Jones and Merle Haggard in fact listening to the CD if you didnt know it was Daryle singing you would think it was George Jones, he may not be one of the biggest stars on the country scene like Toby Keith or Alan Jackson but he certainly would give the big boys a run for there money.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Traditional Country Sound Comment: Singletary's latest CD is an excellent one. He has still kept the traditional sound of country, and this makes a great CD. He is the best singer out there, with the best music to go along with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Music! Comment: The CD is good and it's nice to listen to Daryle sing. I hope he continues to make more music and redo more oldies.
