Fergie scores second “Glamorous” week at No. 1
Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie’s “Glamorous” and New York rapper Mims’ former chart-topper “This Is Why I’m Hot” occupied the top slots on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for a second week.
R&B singer Akon’s “Don’t Matter” also stayed put for a second week at No. 3. Gym Class Heroes’ “Cupid’s Chokehold” featuring Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump rose one to a new high of No. 4, flip-flopping with Gwen Stefani’s “The Sweet Escape” featuring Akon.
In its 15th week on the chart, Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s” featuring Polow Da Don soared 21 places to No. 6, spurred by the release of the artist’s debut album. Rock band Daughtry’s “It’s Not Over” kept the No. 7 spot warm for a second week.
Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” rose one to No. 8, swapping places with Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around … Comes Around.” Fall Out Boy’s “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” dropped four to No. 10.
This biggest debut was Hilary Duff’s “With Love,” at No. 42. The track is the lead single from her album, “Dignity,” due April 3. Nine Inch Nails’ “Survivalism” entered at No. 68.
Other included Lloyd’s “Get It Shawty” at No. 76, Beyonce & Shakira’s “Beautiful Liar” at No. 94 and “Like This” by Kelly Rowland at No. 96. British soul singer Amy Winehouse scored a pair of debuts: “You Know I’m No Good” featuring Ghostface Killah, at No. 90, and “Rehab,” at No. 91.
