New Jersey band Ra took a major-label spin a few years ago, made a small splash with two albums and disappeared. But the sun is starting to rise again at radio for the hard rock band, as new single “Don’t Turn Away” holds on to the Mainstream Rock chart at No. 36. The midtempo studio cut is tagged onto the end of its terrific new live album, “Raw,” due October 24. With its solid melody, understated production and sounds that fit alongside Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and the rest of the modern rock pack crowding the chart’s top 20, “Don’t Turn Away” should be skipping up playlists faster.
