Tampa woman arrested for operating pirate radio station
A Hillsborough County woman is behind bars for allegedly operating a pirate radio station.
According to an arrest report, 20-year-old Marjorie Voltaire was arrested last night at the request of the Federal Communications Commission, which oversees radio broadcasts.
She’s charged with unauthorized transmission of a radio broadcast.
It’s not clear if the alleged broadcasts interfered with a licensed radio station.
