IMPEACH MY BUSH - PEACHES
Despite the most unsubtle title, Peaches’ new album does not abandon raunch for politics. Replete with references to her “pleasure dome,” “the shocker” and “slippery d***,” the album finds Peaches still safely inside the realm of horny electro. it also offers a handful of rock tunes featuring folks like Joan Jett (”You Love It”) and Josh Homme and Feist (”Give ‘Er”). While part of Peaches’ shtick is repetitive, lyrical tag lines such as “Two guys for every girl/Every girl,” the latter half of the album moves away from this rhythmic-centered habit and into, well, songs and melodies. Her big sense of humor and little sense of shame should help keep “Impeach” in rotation for incumbent spins. Billboard
